IN RE: Appointment of a Committee to draft Resolution in the death of CHRISTOPHER S. REYNOLDS, ESQUIRE

RESOLUTIONS OF THE COMMITTEE

TO THE HONORABLE JUDGES OF THE COURT:

The Committee appointed by your Honorable Court to prepare Resolutions concerning the death of Christopher S. Reynolds, Esquire, reports as follows:

Christopher S. Reynolds was born July 18, 1969, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He was the son of David C. and Bette McAboy Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds departed this life on February 16, 1997.

Surviving besides his parents are his brother, Joseph D., serving with the Navy in Pensacola, Florida, paternal grandmother, Beth Reynolds of Williamsport, maternal grandmother, Mary McAboy in Virginia and Christopher Reynolds, his nephew.

Mr. Reynolds graduated from the Williamsport High School in 1986. In each of this four years at the Williamsport High School, he competed in Model U.N., a forum for training students in U.S. Government and international relations. He served as President for one year and received the "Outstanding Young Leadership Award" for his service to the young high school students.

While at the University of Pennsylvania he continued his association with Model U.N. and served as Under Secretary-General at the University. As a result of this association he traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe.

He attended the Washington College of Law at the American University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1993. He passed the Pennsylvania Bar Association immediately after graduation, where he finished 4th out of 682. He was also a member of the Bar Association of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

He was admitted to the Lycoming County Bar in 1994 where he maintained an active practice of law from that time on.

Mr. Reynolds set up his own law practice helping battered women and children. He then worked for Susquehanna Legal Services where he continued his practice of family law.

Mr. Reynolds was deeply committed to aiding the underprivileged in all of their legal and personal needs.

His intentions had been to pursue constitutional law, however he was drawn into the .practice of serving the under served.

His brother, Joseph D., serves in the U.S. Navy where he is stationed in Pensacola, Florida studying cryptological analysis for Naval Intelligence.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and his nephew, Christopher Conan Reynolds.

A Memorial Scholarship Fund will be established in his name for the education of future lawyers.

BE IT RESOLED that through the death of Christopher S. Reynolds, Esquire, the Lycoming County Bar has lost an able and capable member: the community a contributing and valued citizen and his family a loving child, brother and uncle. He will also be missed by his friends and his acquaintances.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Court and its Bar do hereby extend to his parents, brother and other family, a deep and heartfelt expression of sympathy by this Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread at length upon the minutes of the Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County and that copies of the same be sent to his parents and brother.

ORDER OF COURT

AND NOW, this 24th day of February, 1997, in consideration of the Resolutions presented by the Committee appointed to draft Resolutions in the death of Christopher Reynolds, Esquire, the said Resolutions are adopted and it is hereby ORDERED and DECREED that the Resolutions herewith submitted and attached as an official expression of the Lycoming County Bar Association and this Court, and that the same be spread upon the records of the Court; and that copies of this Resolution be delivered to the family of Christopher Reynolds, Esquire; and it is further ORDERED and DIRECTED that said Resolutions be entered at large upon the record of the Court, and that it be printed in the Lycoming Reporter.
