Historical Society notes long service
LLA member William Nichols received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service at the April 20, 2010 annual meeting of the Lycoming County Historical Society.
Nichols provided the Historical Society with legal counsel since 1964, only stepping down with his retirement in 2009 from the McCormick Law Firm. LCHS honored Mr. Nichols for all the ways he has supported the Historical Society, from his active involvement with the 1964 capital campaign that resulted in the present fire proof building through the 1999 capital campaign and beyond, noting that his association with LCHS has been invaluable.
