Alexyn and Ludwikowski will continue to serve Disciplinary Board

The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announced that forty-seven lawyers have been reappointed to terms as m                                                                                                                 embers of hearing committees in the four districts effective July 1, 2015. In District III, Lycoming Law Association members Rita G. Alexyn and Joanne C. Ludwikowski are among those reappointed.

Hearing committee members volunteer to serve in a demanding role critical to the function of the disciplinary system. Hearing committees sit through many hours of hearings and conferences, and spend time writing extensive and detailed findings of fact and reports on which the Disciplinary Board and the Supreme Court rely. In addition, they review recommendations of Disciplinary Counsel. Before private discipline can be imposed or formal charges filed in a case, a member of a hearing committee must approve or modify that recommendation.
