Rieders Travis Dedicates Conference Rooms to Judges

Recently LLA member law firm of Rieders, Travis, Humphrey, Waters & Dohrmann named three of its office conference rooms for former judges with connections to the firm - county retired Judge Clinton Smith, U.S. Middle District Senior Judge Malcolm Muir and county Judge Thomas Wood who later became a federal bankruptcy judge.

Judge Smith was a partner in the firm when he went on the county bench in 1981. Attorneys Rieders and Humphrey came to Williamsport originally to work for Judge Muir. Judge Wood headed Susquehanna Legal Services after he left the bench.

In the room named for Muir is the judge's stopwatch in a glass case. Muir used the watch to keep attorneys in line when they exceeded the time limit Muir set in court. Also in the room is a photograph taken of Muir's law clerks at the summer retreat he hosted.

A reception was held for the dedication. After the reception, the firm conducted an ethics CLE, open to members of the bar.
