LLA Foundation Funds Preservation of Lycoming County Legal Documents

The Lycoming Law Association Foundation has awarded a grant of $1500.00 to the Lycoming County Historical Society, continuing an effort started in 2014 to preserve important, local legal documents. The grant to the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will fund the abstracting, indexing and preserving of legal documents in the Museum's archive, related to Lycoming County.
In 2014 the Foundation awarded $7500.00 to the Museum. The Museum began the project the following year. LLA member Patty Bowman was hired to do the work.
The project progressed through to the present date, but the original grant money was exhausted. Additional money has now been awarded to continue the project.
