Committee Chairs Plan 2016 Activities

Much of the work of the Lycoming Law Association occurs in its committees. On March 14, the committee chairs met for lunch to discuss initiatives and to plan 2016 activities.

LLA President Bob Cronin reminded the chairs of the importance of committees to the smooth operation of the Association. Chairs were encouraged to have regular meetings to plan and conduct activities. Efforts to involve more and younger members of the bar with the YLD or other committees were discussed.

Each chair reviewed the recent activities of the committee and plans for the coming year. Several upcoming events that will require the participation of one or more of the committees include the statewide implementation of standardized Orphan's Court Rules, the 150th anniversary of the the Association in 2019 and the continuing effort to provide local continuing legal education.

In addition to President Cronin, Executive Director Frey and the following committee chairs participated: Bench Bar - C. Edward Mitchell, Customs and Rules & Technology and LLA Web Site - Gary Weber, Community Activities and Outreach - Tammy Weber; Education & Legal Services for the Indigent, John Pietrovito, Social - Schawnne K.
