K's for Cancer Benefits from Nichols Award Proceeds
Fred Holland designates worthwhile beneficiary
At the 2017 LLA Annual Banquet, the Lycoming Law Association recognized Fred Holland with the William E. Nichols Community Service Award. The award is given to a member of the Association in recognition of outstanding commitment to community service beyond the practice of law.
The award comes with the obligation to designate a charity to receive a $1,000.00 grant from the Association.
Fred chose K's for Cancer, a Montoursville based charity created in the memory of Justin Flannery Hilton. The organization raises money to provide direct and immediate support to cancer patients and their families in Lycoming County. Fred serves on the Board of K's for Cancer, as its chairman
The presentation of the check occurred on February 8. Rex Hilton, president of the organization accepted the donation from Fred, LLA president Ryan Tira and executive director Michele Frey.
