LLA Celebrates New Facilities with Open House

Executive Director recognized for 10 years of service.

The Lycoming Law Association's new office and conference center was formally opened with food and drink on April 11. Those attending were treated to a generous spread of treats, and to wine and beer.  A slide show of LLA events occurring over the past 10 years was played on the new, built-in video projector.

Tom Waffenschmidt, LLA President welcomed all to the event.  He noted the monumental effort of the LLA Executive Director in planning and implementing the move to the larger and more user friendly facility.

He also recognized Executive Director Jessica Engel's 10 years of service to the organization.  She started in the newly formed position in 2004.  At the time, the Association had cramped office space above the old Woolworth store on Pine Street, and offered no continuing legal education. 

The new facility is just one more step in the process of maintaining a full service and well managed bar association for LLA members.
