Murphy Butterfield & Holland Featured in Chamber Connection Article

LLA member firm, Murphy Butterfield & Holland, was featured in an article appearing in the July Chamber Connection insert of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette. The article focused on the advantages of a small practice firm in Williamsport.

One advantage is the flexibility in choosing the areas of law the attorneys can practice. While Jonathan Butterfield's practice may touch on many different subjects in a day, he chooses to focus on Social Security Disability and worker's compensation.  Fred Holland works with school boards, real estate, and wills and estates. Jeffrey Rowe has undertaken to bring criminal defense cases into the practice.

Fred Holland discussed the challenges of addressing new technology, and the problems arising from the availability of legal information on the internet. The firm recently handled an estate where a will was prepared but no beneficiaries named.

The article also reviewed the various means by which the firm's lawyers choose to give back to the community - by becoming involved with multiple community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Hope Enterprises, Billtown Blues Association, the Williamsport Chamber Choir and Orchestra and Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra.

Congratulations to Jon, Fred and Jeff for being featured in this positive and informative article.
