Steinbacher & Stahl Establishes Award in Name of Local Doctor

Dr. Alexander Nesbitt, a Lycoming County physician, recently inspired the establishment of an award, to be given annually, in his name. The award, created by LLA member firm Steinbacher & Stahl, was presented to Dr. Nesbitt, its first recipient, in an April 2014 ceremony.

Named "The Dr. Alexander Nesbitt Commitment to Caring Award", it was "inspired by an appreciation for Dr. Nesbitt's work with patients and their families, who are facing terminal illness," Julieanne Steinbacher said. "He is devoted in caring for his patients, positive in his outlook and passionate about teaching people how to have the most personal and fulfilling end of life experience."

Nesbitt is the medical director of Susquehanna Health Home Care and Hospice. He is credited with being in the forefront of providing palliative medicine in the region.

Steinbacher & Stahl made a cash donation in Dr. Nesbitt's honor to Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice, after the ceremony.
