Nichols recognized; Waltz quoted!
LLA Lawyer William Nichols has again been recognized for his community service. The 59th annual Brotherhood dinner recognized several county residents for their longtime community service, including Nichols.
Ken Sawyer, who emceed the event, commented that the Williamsport attorney is a leader, who gets things done. Nichols' has been involved with a number of organizations, including STEP Inc., the Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and Williamsport City Council.
Nichols was honored by the Lycoming Law Association in 2012, when its community service recognition award was named the "William E. Nichols Community Service Award" and he was the first recipient of the recognition. He has been repeatedly recognized in the news for service to this community.
Kristine Waltz, also an LLA member, was interviewed in the March 21 edition of the Pennsylvania Bar News. in the "Making a Difference" column, she was questioned about her involvement with the Wills for Heroes program.
She discussed the first local Wills for Heroes event in October 2015, where 39 clients were served. She related the sincere gratitude expressed by local firefighters, police, EMT's and veterans who were provided peace of mind by services provided by the local attorneys.
Both Bill and Kristine exemplify the spirit of community service displayed by many LLA lawyers.
