Lycoming County Represented at CCBL

County bar leaders and executive directors from across the commonwealth met at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square on Feb. 22 – 24, 2018 for the annual Conference of County Bar Leaders (CCBL). Lycoming County was represented by President Jennifer Heverly, Executive Director Michele Frey, and YLD members Rachel Planas, and Yvonne Campbell.

This year's CCBL was built around a baseball theme and drew upon many sports-related lessons addressed teambuilding, practice, preparation, a positive mental attitude, good public relations, leadership and other important skills for bar growth.

As usual, the LLA was among the winners of a CCBL County Bar Recognition Award. The CCBL recognized the Association's efforts in presenting the Wills for Heroes program, for sponsoring the Mock Trial and Law Day Competitions and for the Holiday Toy and Clothing Drive. The award was presented by Sharon R. López, PBA president.

The Young Lawyer's Division met at the Conference. Lycoming County's Rachel Planas is the Zone 4 delegate. Yvonne Campbell also attended the meeting.

The Conference mixed business, learning and socializing in a way that allowed our leadership to improve the Lycoming Law Association's ability to serve its members. Our representatives heard from experienced lawyers from all over the state, on topics ranging from public relations to keeping members happy. The course materials promised that our leadership will return energized and ready to lead.
