The William E. Nichols Community Service Award was established in 2012, to recognize outstanding commitment to community service beyond the practice of law by a member of the Lycoming Law Association. The newly minted award was first presented to William E. Nichols by then President Mike Wiley in recognition of the breadth of Nichols’ long-term and sustained commitment to volunteer community service. The Association surprised Nichols’ by naming the award for him because of the example he set for the membership.
Since it was established, the award has been presented to other members. The Lycoming Law Association is proud of its members, who have committed themselves to serve the greater Lycoming County community. Here is a list of previously recognized members.
